My friend Poppy tagged everyone who's name ends with a "Y" to play this game with her so here I go:

1. YOUR ROCK STAR NAME: (first pet & current car)
Monkey Toyota
2. YOUR GANGSTER NAME: (favorite ice cream flavor, favorite cookie)
Soygurt AllCookies
3. YOUR DETECTIVE NAME: (favorite color, favorite animal)
Black Monkey
4. YOUR SOAP OPERA NAME: (middle name, city where you were born)
Doodlebug LaGrange (I don't have a middle name so I used my nickname instead. And MomDad say I was born in LaGrange, Wyoming but I know for real I came from Tijuana Mexico)
5. YOUR STAR WARS NAME: (the first 3 letters of your last name, first 2 letters of your first name)
Kel Do
6. SUPERHERO NAME: (”The” + 2nd favorite color, favorite drink)

Dave Frank
8. STRIPPER NAME: (the name of your favorite perfume/cologne/scent, favorite candy)

9. WITNESS PROTECTION NAME: (mother’s & father’s middle names )
Ann Franklin (HEY! THAT MAKES ME A GIRL! NO WAY!)
10.TV WEATHER ANCHOR NAME: (Your 5th grade teacher’s last name, a major city that starts with the same letter)

Maria Montgomery (I didn't make it past Preschool so I'm using my Puppy Preschool teacher's name from four years ago instead)
11. SPY NAME: (your favorite season/holiday, flower)
Thanksgiving Uhh-Flowers-Make-Me-Sneeze
12. CARTOON NAME: (favorite fruit, article of clothing you’re wearing right now + “ie” or “y”)
Kumquat Collary
13. HIPPY NAME: (What you ate for breakfast, your favorite tree)
I am boycotting my food right now because I'm holding out for MomDad to put water on my foods to make it taste better like they do for Scarlett (even though they say they're doing it because her baby teefs are coming out and crunching her foods hurts her teefs...whatever). And I don't even like trees because A) they block out the sun that warms my tummy and B) they allow the squirrels easy escapes from my attacks. Guess I won't have a hippy name then. Harumph.
14. YOUR ROCKSTAR TOUR NAME: (”The” + Your favorite hobby/craft, favorite weather element + “Tour”)
The Humping Monkey Sunshine Tour (YEAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!)

Next, I will tag you if you like monkeys.

What's been Goin' On

Things have settled down a little bit here at home. Grammy came over for a few days last week and brought her dog and another dog she is fostering with her. Her dog is Ophelia and she's not annoying or anything. Pretty mellow for the most part and leaves my stuff alone. Here is Ophelia, Scarlett and me enjoying some Chill Time on the chair.
But then Grammy also brought this little guy named Spike over and he is a sausage dog! He barks and whines a lot and thinks he's a big tough guy but he's not really. He followed Grammy around like a lost puppy and did not like being left alone with us three other dogs in the backyard for very long. I really enjoyed smelling him. He eats interesting things and has been to interesting places. We all went to the BarkPark together and terrorized some Great Danes that thought they were tougher than us.
Scarlett is still going to Puppy Preschool and learning how to not be so dumb and obnoxious. I guess she's really smart after all. Mom hasn't been able to do their homework together all week so she and Dad were cramming it all in this morning and Scarlett picked up right away. She's getting really good at Sit, then Down and then Sit again. She's having trouble with loose leash walking I guess. She gets lots of treats anyway for doing the other stuff. She's so lucky.
Scarlett and I have been taking very good care of Mom now that Grammy's dogs have gone to their own home. We hold her down on the couch so that she gets good rest like the doctor told her to.
Although sometimes we have to be on patrol and guard the house. This sometimes means we have to bark a lot and I guess Mom doesn't like that when she's trying to take a nap. That's when she makes us go get locked with Dad in another room.
But eventually she wants some fresh air so we take her outside and entertain her by playing Chase and the Plop together in the yard.
We're a pretty good team together, me and Scarlett.

Mom is really sick

Mom is really sick. I guess it's not just a matter of eating too many treats. Go give her lots of licks with me, please. I'm really worried about her.

Now it's Mom's turn!

...Speaking of sickly tummies, Mom is sick right now with a hurt tummy. She has to go to her own vet and have a bunch of tests done. She doesn't feel like helping me blog much this week so I have to take a few days off. Especially I do because I am in charge of Scarlett while Mom is down. I must do things like I am doing in this picture: guarding the toy basket (because Scarlett likes to pull every toy out one by one and then not play with any of them!) and three boxes of cat litter (yum!). I'll be back in a few days.

Sensative Stomachs

A couple weeks ago, Mom got inspired by my friend Poppy to make homemade doggie treats. She did a bunch of research and went shopping where all the hippies shop and made us what she thought were wholesome, natural and fun treats for me and Scarlett. First, she made these:
Frozen Pawgurt Treats
16 oz vanilla soy yogurt
2 TB unsweetened natural Peanut Butter
2 TB natural Honey
2 mashed-up bananas
2 peeled, cored and chopped apples
Blended all together and poured into an ice cube tray. Freeze for 24 hours and serve outside (because it's slippery and hard to get a grip on it and Mom doesn't want it all over her new carpet).

We got one each of these and boy were they GOOD! I boycotted my dinner that night in attempts at getting more of these (it didn't work. I was hungry all night). The next day, I was puking all over the place. It was nasty.

So Mom waited a week and then made us these:
Pupcicles
1 can organic chicken broth
1 can water
1 peeled, shredded carrot

Blended all together and frozen 24 hours. Again, served outside.
Mom keeps saying these are to help Scarlett and her baby teeths but I think she just wants to spoil us as we are used to. Anyway, these made Scarlett poop all over the bedroom in the middle of the night (which also taught Mom a valuable lesson that Kennel Training is not finished when puppy sleeps under the covers with you one night). And two days after that, I was puking up carrots still.

Mom had to give away most of the frozen treats that she made to Cousin Bailey (I hate that). I hope they don't make him sick like we were (or do I?). No more treat foods for us I guess.

The good news is that Mom had to get training treats since Scarlett started preschool today. We searched high and low together at Petsmart and finally found something that says "EASILY DIGESTABLE" on the front of it. I had a couple. Scarlet had about a hundred today while she was trying to learn her name. I'll let you know tomorrow if everything comes out (or doesn't) alright!

A House Meme

Daisy always has fun Memes for me to do. Here's the newest one about my house:

  • What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now? Oatmeal Dog Shampoo
  • Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator? No but I ated Watermelon one time when MyLindsay's boyfriend's grandpa gave me some. I don't know what his name is so I call him GrandpaWatermelon.
  • What would you change about your living room? Get a much smaller coffee table in the middle of the room so that Scarlett and I can play chase more efficiently.
  • Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty? They are dirty but if MomDad would only just open it and let me work on them a bit, I will have them clean in no time!
  • What is in your fridge? Food and stuff.
  • White or wheat bread? Yes, please!
  • What is on top of your refrigerator? A plant. A box of batteries. A cookie jar with candy in it. And, sometimes, a cat.
  • What color or design is on your shower curtain? MomDad have a door on their shower. It's like a box.
  • How many plants are in your home? Over 12 I think. Dad says Mom has a green thumb but all her thumbs look normal to me.
  • Is your bed made right now? I never make our bed. Either does MomDad.
  • Comet or Soft Scrub? They both make me sneeze.
  • Is your closet organized? Sometimes.
  • Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home? I have a giant self-waterer thingy that is plastic. I have to run away from it when it gurgles loudly because it tries to kill me.
  • If you have a garage, is it cluttered? Yes. Always. Mom can't even park in there anymore.
  • Curtains or blinds? Some of both.
  • How many pillows do you sleep with? My pillow is my Dad. So, one giant one.
  • How often do you vacuum? I never ever vacuum because it tries to kill me when Mom takes it out.
  • Standard toothbrush or electric? I hate to brush my teeth. I am very good at using my Jedi Powers on MomDad to keep them from trying to brush them again.
  • Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch? Yes but it says, "WIPE YOUR PAWS" which means "WELCOME" in DogLanguage.
  • Is there anything under your bed? Probably two kitties and a sock.
  • Chore you hate doing the most? Taking a bath. Yuck. It tries to kill me.
  • Do you have a separate room that you use as an office? Mom has an office but I don't use it very much unless I'm using her computer to blog or I feel like napping on her futon in there.
  • What color are your walls? Some are white. Others are tan. A whole room is purple. And the rest are greens.
  • What does your home smell like right now? The upstairs smells like Nail Polish Remover that Mom spilled on the floor last night. It makes me sneeze so I'm staying downstairs with Dad.
  • Favorite candle scent? PeopleFoodScent. Yum.
  • What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now? Pickles are green and I don't eat green things (unless they are Greenies) so I do not care.
  • Ever been on your roof? No. IBut Dad goes up there once or twice a year to put sparkly things on the house. Me and Brudder watch him from the window to make sure he does not fall. We are good helpers.
  • How many house phones? Five.
  • What style do you decorate in? Mom likes Misson style furniture (but not Southwestern decor necessarily) and County/ShabbyChic.
  • Do you like solid colors in furniture or prints? Solid. Lines and dots and stuff make me kinda dizzy.
  • Is there a smoke detector in your home? There are a lot of them. And sometimes ghosts get in them and they start going off for no particular reason in the middle of the night. Mom freaks out because she thinks they are trying to kill her. Mom is crazy.
  • In case of fire, what are the items in your house which you’d grab if you only could make one quick trip? MomDad, Scarlett and my Kitties. Sorry, Bull and Fishface (the two fish), my mouth will already be full of all those people and I can't trust Scarlett or the kitties to not eat you if they carried you out!
If you want to do this meme, take it from me!

Scarlett starts Puppy Preschool at Petsmart today. I'm going with her to supervise since that is my alma mater. Updates to come!

Some Things We Do Together

In my attempts at learning to live with Scarlett, I've decided to put her to good use. I've always wanted to play chase but the kitties never chase me. Mostly, they just run and hide from me. But I've gotten Scarlett (Mom says that Scarlett has gotten me) to play some fun games with me. Here they are...

First, there's Hide-and-Seek:

Then You-Chase-Me-I-Chase-You:

Then SmackDown:

And finally, Tug-O-War:

After we play, we need to get a drink and then hack a little bit:
